10 Obscure Wrestling Retirement Matches You Didn't Know About

9. Brutus Beefcake

One of the more bizarre stars of the early WrestleMania stars in hindsight, Brutus Beefcake was over for a few years despite being Hulk Hogan's adopted large adult failson.

Much like a literal child, Brutus Beefcake after his brief success of a babyface run was pacified in WCW through screen time. Where an exasperated parent will allow their child a go on their tablet to watch some children's TV show or other, "screen time" for Brutus meant appearing onscreen in some exceptionally terrible gimmick or other - one significantly less sophisticated than Bluey.

Incredibly, the WWF did not deem him worthy of inclusion in the 2001 Invasion storyline. He was only 45 when TNA first launched, and they wanted nowt to do with him, either - and they touched more washed-up carnies than your average autograph-hunting airport freak.

Instead, Brutus made sporadic appearances on the independents - not the good ones, obviously, Beefcake was awful - and last appeared at the 2015 WrestleCade event in a Battle Royale.

What's funny about that specific match is that Garett Bischoff was in it. The Nepo Babies Explode wasn't the tagline, but it should have been.

Who was the most useless tosser?!
