10 Observations From Attending WWE Glasgow Live

3. Bálor vs. Joe Was The Match Of The Night

The penultimate match of the evening was one between Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe, and it felt more like a co-main event than anything else. Although Bálor looks smaller than any other WWE headliner in person, he always works well with Joe (watch their NXT matches for proof of that) and the crowd were happy to see him.

Before the match, Finn cut a promo putting over his time working with WWE and ICW in Glasgow. He didn't mention the home promotion by name, but he didn't need to; fans were only too willing to take up for the Irishman and chant for ICW, who coincidentally will present their own show in The Hydro on November 19.

In terms of actual wrestling, Bálor vs. Joe was the best match of the night. Whilst most other matches favoured stalling or audience participation from bell-to-bell, this one featured 2 men who visibly enjoy working together. The clean finish and win for Bálor was also appreciated.
