10 Observations From WWE Live In London 2016

1. Indieriffic Main Event

This main event would have been unimaginable even just a few short years ago. Hell, it wasn't that long ago that these three were wrestling in front of small audiences for independent promotions. Now they are headlining a sold-out show at the 02 Arena and doing a hell of a job of it too, I might add.

Our last match of the evening saw Kevin Owens defend his newly-won Universal Title against Seth Rollins and perennial rival Sami Zayn. The crowd were into all three and the general consensus is that this was the best match of the evening.

The Prizefighter, Architect and Underdog from the Underground held little back as the threw caution to the wind in this well-constructed triple threat. Zayn wowed with his dives and high-flying antics, Owens was his usual jerk self and Rollins was brilliant as always. These three worked so well together and had the crowd on their feet at several points.

In the end, Owens managed to avoid a Helluva Kick and drop Zayn with the pop-up powerbomb for the win (they really need to give that move a proper name). After the match, Zayn hit the Helluva Kick on Owens and Rollins a Pedigree to send the crowd home happy.

And that was that for WWE Live in London, a decent enough show with at least three really good matches and an enthused crowd throughout. It didn't really give much indication as far as future storylines and matches but the small roster all put the effort in and made it a worthwhile experience.
