For a whole host of reasons, the events of AEW's Los Angeles Dynamite debut on June 1, 2022 will no doubt be dissected for years to come.
On top of a certain Maxwell Jacob Friedman setting the wrestling world ablaze with a pipe bomb long-time sparring partner CM Punk would've been proud of, said reigning AEW World Champion also found himself limping out of the arena on the back of a six-person tag contest.
But, before said exit was revealed to be far more than just Punk's way of selling a hard-fought battle, the champ would once again make his presence felt on the night in an off-air capacity.
Moments on from said MJF verbal explosion giving way for commercials, as captured by Twitter user @BensonRichardE, Punk would limp onto the scene to confront his Revolution rival while sporting only one boot as The Salt of the Earth scurried out of the arena.
With many quick to jump to the potential of a Championship-holding-Punk defending his promotion from the scourge that is Maxwell, said off-air exchange was seemingly put in place to tease another incoming chapter for the enemies.
