10 Oldest WWE Champions Ever

6. Ric Flair - 43

Triple H
WWE

Date Last WWE Title Won: September 1st, 1992

Age: 43 years, 6 months, 7 Days

It's almost impossible to imagine Ric Flair as a conventionally 'young' professional wrestler. 'The Nature Boy' was 34 when he defeated Harley Race at Starrcade 1983 to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title for the second time.

Even then, he looked as demure a man of the world as his promos and presentation would have audiences believe. A decade on from that famous battle, and advancing years only enhanced the veneer.

Though there had been calls for 'Slick Ric' to start winding down as early as 1989, his 1991-1993 WWE run was a packaged-up presentation of his final truly great days. Ironically, Vince McMahon allegedly considered this second title victory over Randy Savage so awful that he ordered the pair re-do the contest on the night itself, but it was an anomaly during a new golden age for Flair.

Evergreen, he'd still have his moments upon a return to WCW and even in a miraculous last swing for McMahon between 2001 and 2008, but his original trip North left those latter spells in the dust.
