8. Lethal Lands On The Guard Rail
https://twitter.com/tagropemag/status/683936915960295424 Third on the card, and the first singles match of the night, was an all-gaijin affair, with Michael Elgin seeking to topple Ring of Honor World Champion Lay Lethal. Many thought that Elgin's months-long journey to the top, and his excellent 2015 showings in Japan, would culminate in him unseating Lethal in his dream venue of the Tokyo Dome, but alas it was not to be. Both men put on a superb match, laying their bodies on the line in order to be considered equals to their stiff-as-f*** Japanese comrades. In no spot was that willingness to sacrifice their bodies more in evidence than when Jay Lethal crash landed right onto the guard rail followed a slightly-too-energetic suicide dive. Look at how he lands. The floor absorbs none of that contact, the rail takes all of it. The entire weight of his body slams onto that unforgiving metal. Not only that, but Lethal pops back up, walks it off, and suicide dives AGAIN.
