10 Opponents For Christian's One More Match

1. Chris Jericho

If Christian were to wrestle one more match before retirement, and if that match were to take place in WWE, and if that WWE match were to be booked for Wrestlemania, the only opponent worthy of consideration would be Chris Jericho. Currently a part-time talent himself, Jericho€™s presence at the biggest show of the year instantly makes it bigger, and there isn€™t a wrestler on the planet not named Edge who has both the extent of history and the extremity of chemistry with Christian that Jericho has. At this point it is quite literally a dream match. Think of Jericho serving as inspiration for Christian in his early years, the ultimate example of the Canadian grappler who made good. Think of the two of them as a tag team, the exuberant joy that radiated from them as they engaged in heelish successes and incompetent failures, earning laughs from the crowd as well as the tag team championship. Think of their subsequent feud over the affections of Trish Stratus, in which it was revealed that they can steal the show as enemies just as much as they could as friends, if not more so. Think of their match at Wrestlemania 20, still one of the greatest Wrestlemania matches in history despite the fact that it was, of all things, the opener. Should Christian be allowed the privilege of going out at the highest level, under the brightest lights, showered in the most glory, it would be a crime if he stood across the ring from anyone other than Y2J.
