From the Spider Lady to Lita...and more...
On Monday, July 13, 2015, Stephanie McMahon successfully altered the face of WWE forever. In officially introducing Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch to the main WWE roster, she signaled a sea change in the perception of women's wrestling in WWE. For nearly two decades, though numerous technically sound performers have been employed by the company, women's wrestling has largely been an afterthought. From moments in NXT to times in the Attitude Era, heck even back to the rock'n'wrestling days, we've had our moments as the WWE Universe where we've been truly impressed or intrigued by the in-ring exploits of women. So, without further ado, here's a list of ten (other) times that women's wrestling has dominated the WWE Universe. From the Fabulous Moolah, to Trish Stratus, Kharma and more, there's a history worth exploring here.
