10 Outstanding Wrestling Matches That Ended Without Finishers

3. Charlotte Vs. Bayley Vs. Sasha Banks Vs. Becky Lynch (NXT TakeOver: Rival)

The one-and-only televised fatal four-way match between the Four Horsewomen was briefly the best women's match in NXT's increasingly rich short history.

Designed and executed with elevation of both the belt and the wrestlers in mind, it was logical but fiercely entertaining exhibition stuff repurposed as a title fight. Everybody got their sh*t in, but it felt as though Charlotte, Bayley, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks were constantly reminding themselves that winning the women's title must come first.

Eventual winner Banks had been given a couple of runs at the future 'Queen' before the match, and smartly didn't wholly rely on the Bank Statement to get the job done on her big night. Wearing her down but not waiting for the tap, she rolled the Champion backwards into a pinfall, knowing full well that she lacked the energy to kick out.

The division was fast becoming the best thing about the black-and-gold brand and WWE in general, and the respect the booking showed to both winner and loser here spoke to why. The main roster typically seems incapable of presenting such a measured masterclass.
