10 Painful Wrestling Receipts Caught On Camera

2. New Jack Serves His Receipt Cold

There is etiquette within the etiquette. That may read as a bit complicated, but read on.

The receipt has to be commensurate with the original infraction; if a wrestler accidentally cracks his dance partner in the jaw, they can expect something as hard or a smidge harder right back.

If a wrestler inflicts brain damage upon their opponent and leaves them permanently blind in one eye, the opponent is therefore within their rights to attempt to murder them.

See?

It's all very simple.

At Living Dangerously 2000, Vic Grimes, per New Jack's telling of the story, had to be dragged into executing the agreed upon stereo balcony dive spot. Unfortunately for Jack, Grimes was a hefty fellow, and he fell harder and faster - right on top of Jack's cranium. New Jack missed a month of action despite requiring far longer to recuperate.

Cynical whispers suggest that too much was made of the infamous "receipt"; Jack never missed an opportunity to deepen his own mythology, and the incident took place after he and Grimes had already co-operated through a rematch at Hardcore Heaven later that year.

Perhaps New Jack respected ECW more than he did XPW, which, fair. In any event, at XPW Freefall, New Jack missed a fairly obvious target - that being about 800 tables - and sent Grimes directly onto the apron by way of a clipped table. From about 40 feet.

Perhaps his diminished eyesight had much to do with it. Or perhaps New Jack was unhinged.

One of the two.
