7. Garett Bischoff

Well, Hulk Hogan got his daughter a cushy job in Impact wrestling, so Eric Bischoff likely thought €œWhy the hell not my son?€ So Eazy E got his son a cushy job in TNA too. Garett Bischoff started off as referee Jackson James, which is as far as he should have ascended in the business. It was kept a secret from fans, and even the wrestlers themselves, that Garrett was the son of Eric. It was a modern day work.

The secret was exposed on Bound for Glory 2011 when the younger Bisch was the referee for Hulk Hogan vs. Sting (for your own sanity do not watch that match!). After that, the golden child became a prominent on-screen character, and the most ridiculously over-pushed child of a promoter since Erik Watts. Garett just didn€™t have it. To say he was €œokay€ would be quite a stretch. A bigger stretch than King Kong Bundy's spandex after a night at the Golden Corral.

Just months after his turn, Garett lead his own team at Lockdown with A.J. Styles, Austin Aries, Mr. Anderson and Rob Van Dam all underneath him in the pecking order. That has to be one of the most ridiculous things TNA has ever done. When Eric lost power in real life behind-the-scenes, Garrett was soon demoted to a lackey in Aces and Eights, and then disappeared. Vince McMahon has not hired him yet, and he never, ever will.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
