2. John Cena Has Only Ever Held A Tag Team Title Alongside A Rival

Over decades, WWE has systemically destroyed tag team wrestling because Vince McMahon would rather pay two expensive main event talents than four to work an important match.

This mentality has gradually corroded tag team wrestling as a storyline fixture, so much so that concepts like unity and chemistry just don't matter. If two feuding singles stars don't have anything more creative to do, WWE will simply crown them as Tag Team Champions and see if they fancy getting along to engineer a conflict. It never turns out well, but still the question is asked by those thick tw*ts at the commentary table.

John Cena is a four-time doubles champion, and every time, he captured gold that never once scanned as an achievement alongside rivals. WWE totally destroyed the point at least four times. He won the WWE Tag Team Titles with David Otunga and subsequently The Miz for a combined one day (!), and the World Tag Team Titles with Shawn Michaels and subsequently Batista for a total of 70.

To further pour soil over WWE's total apathy towards tag team wrestling, Cena has held main roster tag team gold more times than The Revival, The Rockers, the Legion of Doom, the Hart Foundation, Demolition, the British Bulldogs...

More is often less, but not to them: look how they promote Charlotte Flair in canon.
