10 Pieces Of WWE History Made Over WrestleMania 35 Weekend
6. Seth Rollins: Beast Slayer
When you think about Brock Lesnar's greatest career rivals, names like Kurt Angle, Goldberg, and even Roman Reigns might come to mind. But it's actually The Architect who's had The Beast's number in recent years.
In a brilliantly-booked opening contest, Seth Rollins weathered an early storm from Brock, hit an unseen low blow, and pinned Lesnar after a Curb Stomp to capture his first world championship in nearly three years.
This victory makes Rollins a very special man indeed, because he became the first person ever to pin Brock Lesnar for a championship at WrestleMania.
Lesnar defeated Kurt Angle, Goldberg , and Roman Reigns for titles at WrestleManias XIX, 33, and 34 respectively. The only other time he's lost a championship at WrestleMania was at 'Mania 31, when Roman Reigns was pinned in an impromptu triple threat match by... Seth Rollins.
So not only has Rollins now pinned Lesnar at WrestleMania, he remains the only person in WWE history to have taken a championship from The Beast on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
This may seem like an obscure record, but Lesnar's win-loss record is so impressive, that any defeat for The Mayor of Suplex City is notable. Especially when it's at WrestleMania.
