10 Plot Holes On Every Episode Of WWE RAW

2. "The Referee's Decision Is Final"

No. No it f*cking isn't. Well, sometimes it is. How can you possibly invest in the stakes behind a match when they patently mean absolutely nothing?

On this week's RAW, Bayley did something WWE babyfaces rarely ever do. She stood up for her friends (let's for sanity's sake forget whatever relationship she shares with Sasha Banks today) when she saw that they were at a disadvantage. She then did something every WWE performer does every week, albeit without express permission, and booked herself into a match - a match she won on behalf of her team to the approval of the referee, who cannot be blamed for misremembering rules that change by the day.

So Bayley inserted herself into the match, and it was thrown out under the orders of Constable Corbin. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar is holding the Universal Title "hostage" despite retaining it via illegal means at the Greatest Royal Rumble. It's a shame Shane McMahon isn't the Constable of RAW, since he's the only man hard enough to alert Brock Lesnar to this fact; we might see the entire focal point of the brand actually put into focus. WWE does not do instant replay...unless a certain storyline demands it, in which case b*llocks to continuity.

WWE simply makes it up as they go along, the resulting effect of which is an all-encompassing nihilism.
