10. He Wants A UFC Fight In His New WWE Deal

One theory that immediately started doing the rounds was that Brock Lesnar wanted to stay with the WWE on the provision that he'd be allowed to have one fight in the UFC. It doesn't sound too far fetched, as it has been rumoured for a long time that he was considering the MMA return option. It would be a perfect best of both worlds if he could re-sign with the WWE and still do a UFC fight in his wrestling downtime. However, both WWE and UFC, are unlikely to allow such a scenario to happen. UFC especially aren't going to want to share a sport star with an entertainment show. The WWE association in such close proximity would be a real negative for MMA as a sports brand. WWE meanwhile wouldn't want to give any of Brock's value up to the UFC. The theory goes that WWE shot down Brock's UFC request, so he stormed out. But the inside word says that this hasn't been the case. "Speculation that the negotiations included Lesnar wanting to do a UFC fight while under his next WWE contract were not part of this at all," is what Dave Meltzer said in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
