Adam Cole may still be recovering from his injury by the time All Out happens, which would preclude him from competing at the event. However, if he were to be fit then a short feud leading to a match with CM Punk for the AEW World Championship would be a potential dream match realised.
Cole may have other issues to deal with in the long term after turning on the Young Bucks in favour of his former Undisputed Era stablemates. As a one-night distraction from the feud it would make sense for Cole to focus on winning the world championship whilst the Bucks and the recently returned Kenny Omega go for the Trios titles.
Due to the lack of matches that Cole has had recently, he would most likely have to win the right to face Punk before the pay-per-view. If AEW has time to set the match up properly then a promo exchange between the pair would be incredible. The match itself would also be quite unpredictable as both men could feasibly walk out with the title and have a number of potential opponents to feud with.
