10 Potential Superstars That Could Succeed Roman Reigns As WWE Champion
6. Finn Balor
There has yet to be an NXT Champion that's made the jump to WWE and been immediately inserted into the WWE Championship picture for more than a cup of coffee (if at all). Finn Balor could be that NXT Champion and could do even more. While it's probably too early in the existence of NXT to have seen this storyline, but it's only a matter of time until an NXT Champion jumps to the main roster and challenges for, and becomes, WWE Champion. It may take ten years, but that is a ready-made angle that the company will eventually go to. Knowing how high Triple H and supposedly Vince McMahon are on Finn, and when considering the current need for new main event superstars to make an immediate impact, Balor becoming the next WWE Champion by winning the Royal Rumble has to have been at least thought of/discussed as a possibility. Add in the arrival of a potential Balor Club and the stars may just be aligning for the former Prince Devitt.
