9. Big E
Big E might turn some heads on this list, but should he? If the rumors are to be believed then Big E was once considered by Vince McMahon to be a potential replacement for John Cena as the face of the company. Those same rumors stated that while Triple H was vouching for Roman Reigns, Vince was pulling for Big E. The former NXT Champion has recently been given a sizeable push as part of the New Day trio, so a Royal Rumble victory wouldn't be completely out of left field. The New Day has had their run-ins with the current champion in Reigns, and they've also been positioned in several RAW main events. With the company obviously seeing potential in the New Day, Big E could be the focal point if the company decides to turn their push up a notch and present the heel faction as a bit more serious. He's part of the most over group on the roster but a Big E winning would still be viewed as quite the surprise. For this reason, there are safer bets to win this year's Rumble but Big E remains a top 10 contender.
