10 Potential WWE Royal Rumble 2016 Winners

6. Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio has won the Royal Rumble before. In fact, Del Rio is the only man in history to win a 40 man Royal Rumble Match when the famous battle royal contained an additional 10 extra competitors in 2011. Since his return to WWE in October, Del Rio has been protected fairly well. No one can argue the spotlight he received the night of his return when he went over John Cena clean in the middle of the ring to capture the newly rejuvenated United States Championship. Unfortunately, that moment has been the highlight of his return thus far as he was not positioned to capitalize on the momentum he received from Hell In A Cell, and instead, he has been relegated to one of Sheamus' henchmen in the fledgling League Of Nations faction. A Royal Rumble victory in 2016 is not completely out of the question as it is obvious the company sees Del Rio as someone worth pushing. If they didn't, Alberto would not have gone over Cena in such decisive fashion and also wouldn't have been given the US title. Still though, the realistic chances of Del Rio actually facing the WWE Champion at WrestleMania are lower than the others that remain on the list.
