10 Precise Moments When AEW Careers Ended

2. Brandi Rhodes

The aforementioned Nightmare Collective idea must be considered one of AEW's worst from the first three years of promotional activity. Brandi Rhodes, who has never really convinced as an onscreen character, was a big part of why that booking failed to connect with the core audience.

At least the nightmare is over.

Brandi's brawl with Paige VanZant on the 2 February Dynamite proved to be Rhodes' last showing on AEW television. She packed up her bags and left both her character role and a gig as Chief Brand Officer after that - together, the couple officially departed AEW on 15 Feb.

Few were mourning the loss of eventual matches between Brandi and VanZant. Paige deserves every chance to bed in and progress as a wrestler, and she wasn't exactly going to learn much by tangling with Rhodes. Being fair, the brawl did provoke a reaction from the live crowd, and that's probably due to Brandi's status.
