10 Most Predictable Royal Rumbles Ever

2. Batista, 2014

Whereas previous Rumble victories might have been predictable, at least they were (for the most part) welcomed. Nobody was complaining when Austin, Triple H or The Rock won their respective Rumbles. The 2014 Rumble winner was also entirely predictable but WWE got it very, very wrong on this occasion. Batista made his in-ring return at the show, entering at number twenty eight. He was supposed to be the returning hero having not been seen on WWE TV for close to five years. WWE hyped up his appearance so much that nobody else really stood a chance. Couple that with the fact that Batista was to star in the upcoming Marvel film Guardians Of The Galaxy and it became obvious where WWE's priorities lay. To the confusion of WWE staff, the crowd instantly turned on Batista, seeing through his immediate push straight back to the top. The crowd wanted Daniel Bryan to win and enter the Rumble and when that didn't happen, they hijacked the match, booing supposed babyface Batista out of the building. The reaction may have been unpredictable, but the result wasn't. Batista got rid of Roman Reigns (who had beaten Kane's previous elimination record) to a truly venomous reaction.
