The WWE Network is a long term investment and could still take a good few years to fully realise its potential. That's a shame for Vince McMahon, as he has made short term sacrifices for improved end results. But if he's to retire in the next year or two, he'll probably just miss out on seeing the true success of his Network. One positive of his stepping down would be that the Network success could be even bigger. A new Chairman and CEO with better understanding of the digital industry could help to accelerate the investment's growth. Quite frankly, the Network strategy under McMahon has been shocking at times. The company has meandered through a range of policies and gimmicks to try and attain subscriber growth.
