The evolution of the WWE Hall of Fame has been amazing to witness. It started out as a way to honour the late Andre The Giant and has now grown into an integral part of WrestleMania weekend. What used to be a private affair among wrestlers is now held in arenas with thousands of fans invited to witness the proceedings. One of the best things about the WWE Hall of Fame is that they dont ignore outside accomplishments in wrestling. Vince McMahon has a tendency of not recognising anything that happens outside of WWE, but the WWE Hall of Fame features stars such as Antonio Inoki and Mil Mascaras who gained their legendary status in other promotions and countries. Sting is a first ballot Hall of Famer candidate, no question. Hes contributed so much to wrestling, and hes the sort of name that will get the attention of people who havent watched wrestling in a long time. Just dont expect them to recognise anything hes been doing for the past ten years or so, theyre not that willing to acknowledge outside promotions!
