10 Pro Wrestling Moves That Need To Die

2. The Flying Nothing

We've all seen this happen too many times during high-profile matches. A wrestler ascends to the top turnbuckle or launches himself off the top rope, soaring straight at his opponent but, whilst in the air, none of his limbs appear to be working. Unless his goal is to chest bump his opponent, this is going to be a real problem.

It's obvious that there was never any offensive move planned here. It was just a set-up to get himself into a compromising position which his opponent could easily take advantage of with a "counter" move.

The Flying Nothing is most egregious when a wrestler who rarely performs any actual aerial maneuvers keeps putting themselves in this position. Seriously, how many times can a guy get decimated during these non-moves without learning a lesson?

The move infects even the best wrestlers in the world. Fénix is an egregious offender.

Wrestling fans are too smart to not notice someone consistently leaping into their certain doom without any intention of actually trying an offensive maneuver. And quite frankly it's insulting that so many wrestlers still do the Flying Nothing without even trying to make it look legitimate.
