10 Problems And Solutions For WWE's Booking Problems

2. The Ultimate Warrior Wrestling Andre The Giant On House Shows...

... is just like The Undertaker being back on television wrestling Brock Lesnar. WWE's really awesome at doing the "smoke and mirrors" wrestling thing dating back to Andre the Giant wrestling The Ultimate Warrior on house shows. On paper, similar to the aforementioned atrocities of yore, 'taker and Brock is awesome. In the ring, it's Brock Lesnar beating up an old man, which we've seen before. A better solution? What if The Undertaker chokeslammed and tombstoned Seth Rollins at Battleground, which leads to Taker then walking out of the ring. Brock pins Rollins and wins the championship, but the entire crowd is flat as hell. On Raw, out walks American Bad Ass-style Undertaker as bought and paid for by The Authority. Heel Undertaker says that "he ain't here to fight Rollins, he's here cause he wants some of Brock Lesnar's ass." The idea that Undertaker bullied Triple H and Steph into the decision is then shown on the screen, as he rolled up on his motorcycle with his wife in tow, and the two of them berate The Authority into signing a new Undertaker contract. Grumpy old man Taker would be the guy who'd kick Brock in the balls. Grumpy old man Taker's the guy who would apologize to Seth Rollins, then put Rollins in the role of HIS "J & J Security" who would be responsible for fighting The Undertaker's fights (while he goes home to get ready to "kick Brock Lesnar in the balls again and win my title back"). Rollins doing some sort of variation on Old School, etc. would be amazing as well. Undertaker ducking Brock at SummerSlam and Survivor Series because "he's not ready yet," works. All the while, Hunter and Steph pressure Seth about his failing performances in the ring in meeting up to The Undertaker's demands of him. This leads to Seth snapping and challenging Undertaker at Royal Rumble, with a match versus Brock at Mania on the line. Taker wins, but after the match, a double cross is announced wherein Paul Heyman paid off The Authority and a squad of goons to beat down The Undertaker, thus turning him babyface (and Lesnar heel) headed into Mania. Mania as Lesnar's championship being on the line versus The Undertaker in 'taker's last match is compelling. Tack Jim Ross' idea of 'taker winning the championship in his last match and then vacating it the next night on Raw with a tournament for the championship to follow, and that's money.
