10 Problems With Tough Enough WWE Doesn't Want To Admit
6. Chris Jericho Is An Amazing Wrestler And Rock Star But A Poor Show Host
What made the 2010-aired editon of Tough Enough fantastic was the performance of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as host. He was fully integrated into the program, and took a great deal of pride in being deeply involved in final decisions regarding what talent stayed and went. As well, the advice he imparted on talent was moreso that of what coaches at NXT do than pithy words being uttered by a show host. The thing that plagues Chris Jericho on Tough Enough is the thing that actually has plagued him most with each of his returns to WWE. He lacks the ability to connect with not just the fans, but with his fellow performers, too. Some people leave a business and while the nuts and bolts of the business stay with them, the deeper notions of the business leave. Chris Jericho the wrestler? Still there. Chris Jericho the performer who has a unique and deep connection with the WWE Universe? Unless they're Fozzy fans, Y2J may be G-O-N-E.
