10 Problems WWE Doesn't Want To Admit About Hell In A Cell

7. It's All Been Done Before

Stipulations - like fossil fuels, and the New Day's tag title reign - are sadly finite. There's only so much a certain match type can offer; only a certain number of impressive, innovative moments can be squeezed out of each before material is rehashed. Hell in a Cell has been stuck in a rut for quite some time now. The previously mentioned 2014 spot - Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins plunging through twin announce tables from the side of the Cell - may have seemed innovative and shocking, because it's been so many years since we saw anything like it. But really, Shawn Michaels did the exact same thing in 1997, as part of the first ever Cell match (and that spot was a lot cooler, as he dangled from the roof by his fingers, only for Undertaker to kick them away). So how long can Hell in a Cell continue to be original? For my money, that line was crossed a while ago - all the bases have already been covered.
