10 Problems WWE Doesn't Want To Admit About Hell In A Cell

8. It's Now Overshadowed By The Elimination Chamber

In its heyday, Hell in a Cell was unquestionably top of the pile when it came to dramatic, ominous match types. Nowadays it very much depends on the time of year. Is it aound October time? Okay; Hell in a Cell's the baddest stipulation around, no question. But not if we're approaching Elimination Chamber. Hell in a Cell has always been put over as dangerous because of what the men involved are capable of doing to each other, way more than the actual physical attributes of the structure itself. We'll get to this more thoroughly later, but in this day and age - with hateful, Attitude Era-style blood feuds thin on the ground - the Chamber seems a far more daunting prospect. In strictly empirical terms, the Chamber overshadows the Cell completely. Throughout its history, it's been put over as the most fearsome structure in WWE history; video packages always wax lyrical about its treacherous glass pods, its steel girders, and its hundreds of metres of chain. It's the Cell's younger cousin, sure, but it's a bigger, meaner beast nonetheless - and a far more consistent stipulation in terms of match quality too.
