10 Proposed WrestleMania Matches (Which Didn't Happen)

9. Wade Barrett vs. The Undertaker (Wrestlemania XXVI)

At Bragging Right 2010, the ongoing feud between storyline brothers continued, as Kane met The Undertaker in a Buried Alive match for his World Heavyweight Championship. This was the third consecutive Pay-Per-View on which the on-screen family would collide, having faced one another at Hell In A Cell and Night Of Champions previously. Towards the end of the bout, The Nexus, which included guys like Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett, would intervene, helping Kane demolish his opponent and win the match. It was another featured spot for the upstart stable, which was already starting to suffer at the hands of the WWE writing crew, who couldn't decide whether or not they wanted the heel faction to appear as a true threat, or just a group of guys John Cena could defeat all on his own. The reason for this interference was because there were tentative plans to have Wade Barrett face The Undertaker at the following year's Wrestlemania. Officials weren't sure on a rematch between 'Taker and Shawn Michaels from the 2010 version of the event, which would of course happen, and end up being HBK's final match. Things would have been a bit different had Barrett been installed as The Deadman's foe.
