10 Questions Vince McMahon Doesn't Want You To Ask About WWE

1. Does Pro Wrestling Have A Future?

Given how drastically the professional wrestling industry has declined in the United States, it is questionable whether WWE even has a long-term future. Between WCW and WWF, ten million people were watching pro wrestling on Monday nights in the late nineties. That's down to a viewership of around three million viewers in 2015. Maybe the cultural relevance of pro wrestling will one day die out completely. UFC has already shown that "sports entertainment" is more about realism nowadays and some fans are much more inclined to shell out money on a Ronda Rousey than a Charlotte Flair. There's more traditional pro wrestling style drama in an unscripted UFC show than there is in a scripted WWE show these days, but it's working for the Ultimate Fight crew. As a businessman, perhaps Vince's final move should be to sell his brand, cashing in on his life work. It would be interesting to know how he genuinely sees the future of the pro wrestling industry - will WWE become more of a general entertainment brand, or can pro wrestling survive? It's a tough question, one Vince probably doesn't feel too comfortable answering.
