10 Quick Fixes For WWE In 2019

6. Promote Pete Dunne

Further to entry #10, Pete Dunne earned a main roster promotion years ago. Booked as the snarling face of the divisive global localisation policy, which already requires a rethink, this is a move beneficial to at least two brands.

Dunne is an entirely different breed of heel flagship fans are accustomed to. He doesn't generate mild heat by wearing a glib expression and applying multiple rest holds; Dunne grips audiences with his sadistic joint manipulation and face-scraping strikes before throwing himself around the ring to generate bloodlust for his opponents' babyface comebacks.

In many respects, come to think of it, he is the opposite of RAW headliner Baron Corbin: he orchestrates actual noise whilst wrestling arresting pro wrestling matches. And, since Corbin is the disease running rampant throughout Monday Night RAW, Dunne could be the cure. As Triple H's Guy, there is hope, too, that he does not befall the same fate that has damaged so many of his contemporaries.

If WWE's creative staff are fundamentally useless at portraying babyface performers with a degree of sympathy, there are few better than Dunne to do their work for them.
