6. No Way Jose - The Death Of No Way Jose

There's possibly a great wrestler lurking underneath the gormless grin of Levis 'No Way Jose' Valenzuela Jr, but like his in-ring ability, fabulous look and undeniable charisma, it's getting completely swallowed up by the one-note joke that is the character's entire existence.

It's not even as if Jose was some sort of success story that swerved out of control - he was a lesser version of himself in NXT by virtue of the fact he had fewer hangers-on than those that join him every week on Monday Night Raw. Not to veer too off into fantasy booking territory, but a complete reinvention as the result of a Mojo Rawley squash would provide a genuine lifeline for the competent and intriguing wrestler hidden in the gimmick.

Valenzuela could shed himself of it willingly, noting how he needed it to break into a system that only wanted him as a dancing fool, or even reveal a darker side with as-yet-unproven heel side that may a danger lying beneath years of cheers.

With an absence of actual jobbers, the main roster still requires perpetual losers - but would it really be that hard to put an ounce of thought into the future of one?
