10 Quick Fixes To Save NXT

9. Do It Themselves

Though Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa were heroic in victory dethroning The Revival at November's 'TakeOver: Toronto' show, much of the money in their chase came from the lingering fear Ciampa may snap on Gargano for suffering the worst of the injuries in their prior failed attempt.

It was a beautifully subtle bit of pro wrestling acting, and whilst the doubts remain parked as the Champions prepare for their first defence against the Authors of Pain, it would take no time at all to kick into life should #DIY shockingly drop the titles to Akam and Rezar in San Antonio.

A feud between the two so soon after stealing the hearts of the NXT fans would be a highly emotional affair, with Ciampa likely to assume something akin to his 'Psycho Killer' persona against the natural more sympathic Gargano, who could perpetually nurse a re-injured knee in the vein of Bret and Owen Hart in early 1994.

With no cause for the involvement of a singles title either, it would make a huge addition to the TakeOver: Orlando card (and possibly beyond) without remotely interfering in the main event picture.
