With virtually every other performer in the match well armed with experience, company tenure or fan support (or a combination of all three), Baron Corbin should be the man to scoop the sought-after title year-long WWE Title shot.

Not only would successfully scaling the ladder at the expense of Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens literally and figuratively position 'The Lone Wolf' high above the chasing pack, it would also provide his character with a much-needed impetus outside of smashing Zayn's face in on a bimonthly basis.

There's a renewed thirst for the presence of the magic briefcase on television after Dean Ambrose took advantage of a same night cash in last year and the blue brand promised two winners following the announcement of a first ever Women's variation of the match.

Holding onto his title shot until the exact right moment only makes Corbin look stronger and smarter, with Jinder Mahal or whomever happens to carry the brand's top title at the time being made to live in fear of when he might strike.

A summer cash-in on Mahal would set him up perfectly. The divisive champion is unlikely to have won too many new friends between now and the 'Biggest Party of the Summer', and could be completely out of steam when Corbin relieves him of his prized possession to the shock of the Brooklyn crowd.
