4. If He's The New Face Of Fear, People Should Be Scared Of Him
That, of course, will be worthless if it has no effect on anyone. Being scary is pointless if no ones scared. I get that the higher level WWE babyfaces aren't supposed to show fear, but thats bad characterisation: it's actually braver to be scared and to show up and fight anyway, than to be utterly fearless and strong. When John Cena looks like hes apprehensive, when it looks like hes worried he might lose: thats when people start rooting for him. Basically, Wyatts opponents need to start selling for him, and not just in the ring. That's not outside the remit of any babyface: in fact, it could be the making of a lower tier babyface who needs building up or redeeming. It may be too late for Wyatt to regain his old aura of scariness, but since it's central to his character (and he's never going to be six foot seven, six foot eight like Strowman, Undertaker or Kane), they need to try. Itll go a long way towards their goal of making him a believable, terrifying threat if his opponents look like theyre more scared of him than they are of his giant goon squad. After all, theyre just supposed to be redneck serial killers from the backwoods. Wyatts supposed to be evil incarnate.
