10 Rare Brock Lesnar WWE Dark Matches You Need To See

9. Brock Lesnar & Ron Waterman Vs. Rico & Randy Orton

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfefdG4N5Uk This match takes place just a month before Lesnar's memorable Raw debut. It is noteworthy for several reasons, not only for Lesnar's opponents Rico and, especially, Randy Orton but also because of the involvement of Waterman. Ron 'H20' Waterman was a performer whom WWF officials had high hopes for. He was signed by the WWF in 2000 after a successful amateur wrestling and MMA career. He even got a couple of wins in the UFC before deciding to try his hand at pro-wrestling. He was a big guy with an impressive physique. He seemed to have everything the company would want in a wrestler. But he was 34 when he signed and also, as it turns out, didn't really have much aptitude for pro-wrestling. He was physically gifted, no doubt about it, but he didn't take to wrestling like many hoped he would. This match proves that, with Waterman making a complete mess of a headscissors early on and generally looking clumsy whenever he was in the ring. Lesnar was clearly the star of the match, although Rico and Orton more than held their own and gave good accounts of themselves. Orton hits a beautiful dropkick and the ageing Rico does everything he can to get the match over. Interesting to note is that Lesnar's partner Waterman would train Shane Carwin for his fight at UFC 116. Carwin's opponent that night? None other than Brock Lesnar.
