10 Ravishing Rick Rude WWE Hall Of Fame Moments

Ravishing Rick Rude owns a small slice of Royal Rumble history thanks to his curious appearance in 1990's 30-man war.

Following a famous first confrontation between the Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan midway through the January classic, the two behemoths were both down following a double clothesline spot.

Fortuitously hitting the ring next was The Barbarian, who was able to pick the bones of both the Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Champion as they lay exhausted in the ring. His supremacy over both superstars wasn't destined to last though, as Hogan and Warrior began to return fire.

Slithering in to quickly even the odds, Ravishing Rick Rude appeared well before his allotted slot and began beating on the Warrior, resuming conflict with his hated rival and allowing Barbarian to re-assert his dominance in the match.

Since then, no superstar has ever entered the fray before their number, leaving Rude as a footnote in the legacy of the January tradition.

The real reason Rude sprinted in ahead of the buzzer was never fully explored, but the in-character reason is far more gratifying, especially considering the year he was about to embark on in WWE's changing landscape.
