10 Ravishing Rick Rude WWE Hall Of Fame Moments

3. Cheryl Roberts

Arguably Rude's most famous work away from his legendary series with the Ultimate Warrior, the programme with Jake 'The Snake' Robert's real-life wife captured Ravishing Rick's womanising characterisation magnificently.

At the time, Rude was known for inviting a 'lucky' female fan in to the ring for a victory kiss following television squashes over token jobbers.

On this occasion, the woman was Cheryl Roberts, who refused the gesture, humiliating the arrogant Rude. The incident raised the ire of Jake too, but that was nothing compared to Rick's response.

In the middle of his match with Junkyard Dog at SummerSlam '88 weeks after the snub, Rude ascended to the top rope to hit his fistdrop, but revealed a second pair of tights with Cheryl's face airbrushed across his crotch and backside.

Roberts hit the ring immediately with a furious assault on Rude, which achieved its goal of lighting up house show runs between the two.

The two had a choice televised pay-off to the feud on Saturday Night's Main event in late 1988, in which Roberts gained a measure of revenge with Cheryl ringside, before moving on to his next major programme with Andre The Giant at the close of the brawl.
