10 Raw Moments WWE Wants You To Forget
9. Vince's Illegitimate Son
Few storylines in WWE history exemplify "good idea, bad execution" better than that of Vince McMahon bearing an illegitimate son (who just so happened to follow his old man into the world of professional wrestling, despite being estranged from him his entire life).
Done correctly, this angle could have been used as a launchpad for one of the company's cast of promising up-and-comers to catapult himself to the top of the card - just as Triple H had become an over-night main event star a decade earlier when he married into the McMahon Family.
To most, that up-and-comer should have been Mr Kennedy, who shared in common with Vince a name (or at least part of one), an unabashed arrogant streak, and the ability to scream his catchphrase down the microphone like no-one else in the whole of WWE
For reasons that still aren't entirely clear, however, the writers instead plumped for Hornswoggle, Finlay's lovable leprechaun sidekick who spent most of his time crawling around underneath the ring. A whole lot of comedy fun followed over the coming months, very little of it comedic or fun - and most of it best forgotten.
