10 Raw Moments WWE Wants You To Forget
4. Lita's Pregnancy
Perhaps the best thing for all of us would be if Vince McMahon imposed a blanket ban on any storylines involving female wrestlers falling pregnant (although even that wouldn't preclude a returning Santino Marella claiming that he's found a way to defy biology).
In many ways, Lita's storyline - though more scientifically sound than that of Mae Young - was arguably even worse than the hand. It was just completely tasteless, mainly because of the ham-fisted implication that Kane had forced himself upon her.
We get it: it's only fiction. There have been plenty of characters from film and television guilty of despicable things over the years, and WWE is certainly closer to a soap opera than it is a reality show.
But those characters usually only have a lifespan of a couple of hours. The Big Red Machine is still on our screens a decade later, and thanks to the creative team's inability to decide whether he should fight on the side of good or evil, there have been times when children have cheered for the guy. That's just wrong, and WWE know it too.
