10 Real-Life Wrestling Feuds You Totally Didn't Know About
5. Cash Wheeler Vs. Road Dogg
And again!
This time, Harwood's partner Cash Wheeler tagged into Twitter for the sort of evening's distraction that sustains us hardcores.
FTR didn't have the best of times in the WWE system, but that they still succeeded in it illustrates how brilliant they are. On only two prior occasions had the company embraced the southern style tag: that brief but glorious Brain Busters run, and the underrated gem that was the Steiner Brothers Vs. the Heavenly Bodies at SummerSlam '93. As The Revival, Harwood and Wheeler lit up NXT to work some of the most well-crafted and most dramatic matches of the decade. On the main roster, they were made to fall over entrance ramps, shave one another's backs and scoot across the ring with super hot asses because Vince McMahon is dumb and cruel enough to relinquish an unprecedented monopoly.
Somewhat bitter and rightfully so, when Dax unspooled his fishing line to put Bret Hart over at the expense of Shawn Michaels - and Road Dogg said he had "no guts" - Cash made the save.
He accused Road Dogg of burying talent who disagreed with him and talking sh*t about them the second they left the room. If Road Dogg had any banter, he would have owned this and said something like "Yes, it's called the Dogghouse".
But he doesn't - look what he did to NXT before his release - and offered a terse, passive aggressive farewell.
