10 Real-Life WWE Feuds That Were Too Hot For TV
4. Stephanie McMahon Vs. Chyna
Incidentally, when Chyna joined the WWF in 1997, she stood apart from the other women on the roster. While Sunny, Sable, and Marlena were used primarily as non-physical valets, Chyna burst onto the scene like no female ever before and mixed it up physically with the top male performers. Dubbed the "Ninth Wonder of the World" (Andre The Giant being the eighth, of course), Chyna's career reached incredible heights alongside her real-life boyfriend Triple H - but it all went downhill when Hunter embarked on an affair with Vince McMahon's daughter.
Originally, the Stephanie McMahon/Triple H love affair was meant to be on-screen only as Stephanie adopted a heel persona in late 1999. But life soon imitated art and before long, Hunter and Steph were in the middle of a very fruitful relationship, leaving Chyna the odd woman out.
Around the same time, Chyna's WWF contract came up for renewal and, after reportedly asking for a guaranteed contract of $1 million per year, was not re-signed. Considering her history with Vince McMahon's daughter's future husband, Chyna was the unfortunate victim in this love triangle, first losing her man, then losing her career.
Chyna vs. Stephanie would've made for incredible TV, but because of the legitimate tensions surrounding the two women, the program never happened.
