10 Reasons AEW Is Still The Undisputed Best Wrestling Promotion

1. Jon Moxley Is In It

Orange Cassidy
AEW

Jon Moxley's shoot name is Jonathan Good. This is like the guy slicing up your pigs being called Jonathan Butcher.

Nominative determinism is probably b*llocks, but Jon Moxley isn't. He's the best. He's the heart and soul of professional wrestling, the best wrestler in professional wrestling, the best promo in professional wrestling, and the man who in general makes wrestling what it should be.

As the best babyface of the century, Mox knows that the key to connecting with crowds is to get them to believe in him - and as a bloodthirsty combat machine, they do. He also tells the audience that he's going to win and how he's going to win, and then wins, after using his incredible ability to craft drama to hide the clue. Once it's revealed, he earns the trust and undying love of the crowd. Many of the millennials that make up the AEW audience are actually older than him, but it's so strange to think of him in that way. He's a modern folk hero.

He has created an incredible new style in defiance of finisher kick-out excess, is better than anybody at making threats, and exudes cool like no other.

The man also drinks blood.
