10 Reasons AEW Is Still The Undisputed Best Wrestling Promotion

3. Match Quality

New Japan remains incredible at its peak. The indies aren't what they were in the 2010s, but performers like Speedball Mike Bailey are having incredible runs. WWE, never not good between the ropes, given its immense talent roster, is really stepping up its technicality (Chad Gable Vs. Johnny Gargano) and physicality (Gunther Vs. Sheamus).

AEW however presents so many incredible matches that it's almost hard to remember that Konosuke Takeshita was in contention for Wrestler of the Year, and he didn't finish his excursion too long ago. So much greatness has happened since.

Even on Rampage, a missable show, something like Dax Harwood Vs. Claudio Castagnoli happens about once a month. The match was unreal; Harwood was on superb form as the physically outmatched challenger so tenacious, chopping Claudio's chest to mince just to avoid getting launched from the top rope, that down the stretch, you thought you must've missed a spoiler report giving away a title change.

AEW is so great in this department that they book a match every week that would be remembered as a Best of the Decade contender in every other decade except this one. When nothing reaches the **** level on a Wednesday night, Dynamite is considered a disappointment.

Which segues into the next point...
