10. Hes Not A WWE Creation
Weekly Pro-WrestlingWith NXT, the developmental promotion in Florida, now flourishing, the WWE have never looked stronger when it comes to developing new talent to headline the WrestleManias of the future. However, wrestlers with major accomplishments elsewhere often arrive under a bit of a cloud. Its clear to see that the WWE dont like other promotions stars coming to them, as they like to take a little known wrestler and mould them into their ways. The greatest example of this would have to be Bill Goldberg. An unprecedented phenomenon in WCW, when he finally came over to the WWE, he was a diluted version of the WCW Goldberg. His attire was changed. His music was tweaked. By the end of his WWE tenure, he was wearing a blond wig in a skit with Goldust. The reason for this attitude is simple: Vince McMahon doesnt want anyone to think that an outside wrestler is better than a native WWE creation. Look at the accomplished stars who have arrived in NXT: Chris Hero, repackaged as Kassius Ohno, was a tremendous talent and his match with William Regal on NXT was one of the best matches of the year. But he was kept in NXT and then released. Adrian Neville is the current NXT Champion, but prior to this, he had a stellar reputation in Japan with Dragon Gate, venturing into New Japan for their Top of the Super Junior tournament, and two years later, they still havent elevated him to the main roster, nor have they done so yet with Sami Zayn, the former El Generico. And recently, they turned down the opportunity to sign Ricochet, one of the best aerialists in the world today. KENTA will be starting in NXT, but hes going to have to overcome that 'outsider factor if he wants to be a success.
