Thanks to all the cynicism and negativity, Punk will have plenty of motivation to succeed in this venture. Beyond the fact that he really does want to compete and win (he's a competitive guy), proving the nay-sayers wrong will no doubt give him an extra push.

That sort of motivation is a great thing to have during a brutal, rough training camp, or when you're in the octagon on your back trying to escape back to your feet while avoiding ground strikes and submission attempts.

So thanks, doubters - you've probably actually helped CM Punk a little.
