10 Reasons CM Punk Will Never Be Able To Move On From WWE

9. He Still Has Friends There

When CM Punk left WWE, it may have been on bad terms with some of the locker room. It's not that the boys would perhaps take the company's side; much of the time the workers don't let those kinds of issues interfere with relationships between each other. However, Punk's departure could very well have caused some friction among guys that can't believe he would just walk away from a main event career. That theory is very plausible, as arguably no one rose higher and faster in just two years than Punk did. The company gave him every avenue to succeed; they capitalized on the publicity he received from his pipebomb in 2011 and they let him run with it. Punk was on top of the world and everything he did worked on every level. While there could be some bad blood there for Punk, especially among WWE management, the fact is that he left some friends behind. Chief among them is Daniel Bryan, who came up with Punk in ROH and who feuded with him in WWE. Though Bryan is not there now, he could be a go-between for Punk if a decision was made to come back. Punk is very good in the ring and he elevated every talent that he worked with. He also worked extremely hard to come up from mediocrity to realize that elusive main event spotlight. Guys like that garner respect and admiration from their peers and that could come into play for Punk down the road.
