Creative is killing Daniel Bryan right now. It is as if the writing team are on auto pilot with him, using him in the dullest babyface fashion possible. Some weeks they don't even give him anything more than a small backstage skit. It is hardly the sort of inspiring stuff that makes you think he's got a bright future with WWE. He's intercontinental champion, but what does that really mean? It certainly isn't being pushed as hard as the US Title on John Cena. Bryan's IC Title run is just there, existing until he drops the belt. And then what? WWE are out of ideas for him and unwilling to consider moving him back into the number one babyface position. The likes of Roman Reigns are now the priority. How long can Bryan survive on the lacklustre creative? Only so long unless something much bolder comes very soon. Afterthoughts are eventually forgotten completely.
