At some point of this imaginary feud, Ric Flair would have to explain to Triple H that he feels that there's absolutely no way he could beat Sting. Of course, history knows that on March 27, 1988, Sting and Ric Flair wrestled to a 45-minute draw on the first NWA Clash of the Champions program on TBS. Flair's entire promo could easily be built around that epic match, and talking about how lucky he was to escape as the champion. As well, he can talk about how every single other time they wrestled each other, he knew that there was no shame in losing to Sting, because he (and not Hunter) was the only other wrestler he'd ever say could even compare to being called "the man." Triple H having to back up, swallow hard, and walk away from his likely then red-faced, sweating and half-naked mentor would be an incredible moment.
