7. The Texas Connection
Texas is a big place, a very big place, with a huge patriotic allegiance to its own people. In drawing the biggest crowd possible in Dallas, it makes a world of sense to put a Texan in the main event. And no one, not even The Undertaker, is as Texan as Stone Cold Steve Austin. His entire character and act has been waiting for this moment. This is his people, in his house. It would be a crying shame if he (and WWE) missed out on the opportunity. Can you just imagine the atmosphere? Austin wrestling for the first time in over a decade, with a home crowd support cheering him on. It would be electric.
